  • Saddle Pieces Construction:

One piece seamless or seam-welded construction.

  • Dimensions:

To suit appropriate header and branch pipe diameters and thicknesses for 16 bar
and 20 bar rated systems to EEMUA Publication No. 146: Section 7.

  • Weld Preparation:

Wall thicknesses of 3 mm and greater are chamfered to 37.5° ± 2.5° with a root face of
1.6 mm ± 0.8 mm.

  • Inspection of Welds:

100% radiographic inspection to ASME Code, Section VIII, UW 51.

  • Note:

For reducing saddles, 't' will be the same as specified branch pipe thickness.

2.0mm greater for fabricated saddles,
in the weld areas.
